Action Items

What’s an Action Item, as opposed to an Event or a Project?
Something that’s been ID’d but we haven’t done anything about yet?
Each Action Item is listed on this page, and hyperlinked to it’s own separate page.
Action Items should be referred to by one name only to avoid confusion? (check current list for possible dupes)

A consistency of approach when dealing with eachy Action Item would prevent steps from being overlooked and provide everyone with a comfort level based on familiarity. Some thoughts…
* ID each Action Item as being in a category: Project, Event, etc?
* Does every Action Item have to have a Goal?
* Does every Action Item have to have a Time Frame, ‘No Time Frame’ being a possible choice?
* Examine whether it’s possible to decide how often we should ask the following questions about each of our Action Items:
# Have we made any progress since the last entry?
# Have we decided the next step to take?
# Should it be reprioritized?
# How best to monitor progress of this item?
# If Action has been accomplished, somebody write an ‘Achievement’ article and that it be posted on the website in an ‘Achievements’ section?

2007/01/09 presentation by Bill De Young (Reforest London) and suggested $2000 funds available for planting trees (various sizes and prices available). Confirmed that youth could gather volunteer hours for planting trees. Interest was expressed by membership and so a meeting was arranged for January 25, 2007 at 4 pm, at Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre.
